About The Pharma Digest

The Pharma Digest is a daily digest of new drug discovery research and pharma industry news for researchers and people who work with them. Every day it publishes short summaries with commentary in four sections: medicinal chemistry, pharmacology (including DMPK and safety), computational and AI drug discovery, and industry news. Every article is available in English, Japanese and Chinese.

How articles are made

1. Each night, new papers and news are collected from a fixed list of journals, preprint servers and news outlets (see Sources). Only publicly available information, such as abstracts and press coverage, is used.
2. An AI system writes a neutral summary of each item in its own words. Summaries are never translations or copies of the original abstract, and exact figures from abstracts are described qualitatively.
3. A separate step writes the "Points" commentary from the summary, from the perspective of a medicinal chemist, pharmacologist, computational chemist or industry analyst. This commentary is editorial opinion, not professional advice.
4. Each day's batch is reviewed by an editor before it is published. Every article links to its original source, and readers should rely on that source.

Independence

The Pharma Digest is an independent publication. It is not affiliated with any pharmaceutical company, journal or publisher, and companies cannot pay to be covered in the daily digest. The site is supported by advertising. Any sponsored content will always be labeled "Sponsored" and kept separate from the digest.
