CinRx and Graviton form CinRock joint venture to develop ROCK2 inhibitors for cardiovascular disease
- CinRx Pharma and Graviton BioScience formed CinRock Pharma, a jointly governed company for ROCK2-targeted cardiovascular therapies.
- Targets include pulmonary arterial hypertension, HFpEF and other cardiomyopathies.
- Graviton contributes selective ROCK2 inhibition expertise and IP; CinRx contributes capital and development infrastructure.
- The PAH program will test whether ROCK2 inhibition improves outcomes beyond vasodilation.
💡 Points Based on public reports
ROCK2 selectivity is the whole pitch: pan-ROCK inhibitors have been dogged by systemic blood-pressure effects, and belumosudil showed the target is druggable elsewhere. Cardiovascular is a harder, costlier arena than fibrosis, and with terms undisclosed, I would want a first clinical signal in PAH before believing the HFpEF story.
