Tango and Revolution Medicines pancreatic combination shows 82% response rate at ESMO
- Tango Therapeutics presented updated Phase 1/2 data for vopimetostat combined with Revolution Medicines' recently approved Rasonque in pancreatic cancer.
- The reported response rate was 82%, down from the 92% disclosed in June in a smaller group of patients.
- The trial is ongoing, and Tango plans to advance the combination into Phase 3.
A 10-point fall from 92% to 82% is what happens when a small early cohort meets a larger one, and 82% in pancreatic cancer is still extraordinary. Tango's real leverage is that its MTAP-deleted PRMT5 play rides on Revolution Medicines' newly approved Rasonque, giving a small biotech a de-risked partner backbone into Phase 3. Durability, not response rate, will decide this.
